Church of Sa Pobla (Iglesia de Santa Maria) – The Church of Sa Pobla is the Església de Sant Antoni Abat, dedicated to Saint Anthony of Padua. It is located in the centre of the town and is an important part of Sa Pobla’s religious and cultural identity. Built in the 19th century in a neoclassical style, the church is characterised by its simple but elegant architecture. The interior is rather plain, with a beautiful wooden ceiling and an altar area dedicated to Saint Anthony. The church is a tranquil space used for both religious services and local festivals. Every year in January, Sa Pobla holds a major festival in honour of Saint Anthony, in which the church also plays a central role. During this festival, there are traditional processions and celebrations that attract many visitors.

Camí Vell de Pollença – A historic walking path that runs from Sa Pobla to Pollenca and is one of the oldest connecting roads in Mallorca. The name means ‘Old Path of Pollença’ and the path used to be an important route connecting the two towns. Today, the Camí Vell de Pollença is particularly popular with hikers and cyclists, as it offers a beautiful way to enjoy the island’s landscape while immersing yourself in history. The trail passes through picturesque rural areas, past agricultural fields and forests, with views of the imposing Serra de Tramuntana, the majestic mountains in the north of Mallorca. There are also some interesting sights along the way, such as old stone walls, traditional fincas (country houses) and small chapels. The Camí Vell de Pollença is around 12 kilometers long and not particularly difficult, making it a beautiful hike for beginners and experienced hikers alike. The weekly market – The weekly market in Sa Pobla, Mallorca is a popular market that takes place every Sunday. Sa Pobla is a charming town inland on the island and is known for its agricultural produce. The Puig de Maria is a prominent hill that rises near the town of Pollença in the north of Mallorca and is a popular hike for nature lovers and travelers. At a height of 330 meters, the peak offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, including the Serra de Tramuntana and the Bay of Pollença. At the top of the Puig de Maria is a monastery, the Ermita del Puig de Maria, which was founded in the 14th century and is dedicated to Saint Mary. The monastery was originally a hermitage that was later used for the religious community. Today, visitors can tour the monastery and learn more about the history of the hermitage. The hike to the top of Puig de Maria is not too difficult, but it can get steep, especially in the final sections.
